Zooming into Burns Night

Please join us for an intimate Burns Night event via Zoom at 7pm on Monday, January 25th, 2021.  While we won't  be able to share around the Haggis, that savory guest of honor will be present.  And don't forget to pour yourself just a wee dram of Uisge Beatha (the Water of Life).  Why not, you won't be driving afterward?

While we won't have a dinner, we will be observing the essential elements of the tradition.  If you'd care to share your own talents we will open the floor to readings or musical performances.  Drop me an email in advance, or just send me a chat message during the event.

There's no admission, but we encourage all to make a contribution to VECCA.  Not surprisingly, the 7 East Gallery in Woodstock has had a terrible year and can use your help.  Please, send your contributions to:

VECCA, P. O. Box 787, Woodstock, VA 22664

Please note "Burns Night" in the memo line.  We need all the credit we can get.

We look forward to "seeing" you all then.

We've had many requests to repeat our celebration of Burns Night in Shenandoah County again this winter.  But, the rising count of cases of Covid-19 imposes too great a risk for our performers, servers, and guests.  We're looking forward with much anticipation to a return to normal by next winter.  You should expect to see an announcement of the details by December 1st, 2021.

In the meantime, we're considering a heartfelt, albeit abbreviated observance to be conducted via Zoom on Monday evening, January 25th, 2021.  Please keep an eye on this page for details including a link to the virtual celebration.

Happy holidays - be safe and well.
